Us at the Dispatch have always said we are one thing at our core; For the fans, by the fans. With that core principle in our minds, when fellow Well fan and Dispatch reader Peter Elder reached out regarding the new Motherwell podcast Motherwell Daft, we wanted to push this further for him. But rather than have us talk about it, who better than the man himself to give you the lowdown! Read Peter's words below;

What a season it's been so far, and as we head towards March, the team are still on the periphery of the title race, which is absolutely incredible ! The football the lads have played under Jens has been phenomenal, and that coupled with being defensively solid ensures that this Motherwell team will be remembered by the fans for years to come.

This was the main reason why myself and my good mate Gary Muircroft (Crofty off of Go Radio) decided to start this podcast. In fairness he was the driving force behind it, but I didn't take much convincing to get on board! We both felt that there should be a podcast for Motherwell fans by Motherwell fans, especially with so much positivity around and so much great fitba to talk about!

Why us though? Well, Gary has been involved in radio in a professional capacity for many years now, most recently on Go Radio, co-hosting the breakfast show with Grado. We first met back in 1991 (a great year for Motherwell!) at Motherwell College on a Media Studies course, and both of us spent time volunteering at Hospital Radio Law, including presenting some shows, so perhaps we were always destined to go down this route!

So anyway, we started it with a preview show ahead of St Mirren away....about an hour before kick off! I leave the technical side of it to Gary, he's the expert in that field! We followed that up with a reaction show to the 5-0 pumping we inflicted on the Buddies that night, which was a very pleasant chat indeed! That will be the format moving forward, a midweek preview show followed by a match reaction show following a game.

We also plan to do some bonus episodes featuring chats with former players, but I'll remain tight lipped as to who we have confirmed thus far! All constructive feedback is welcome, and any decent ideas will be considered! If you haven't watched/listened yet, why not?!! You can find Motherwell Daft on YouTube, Spotify and Apple Podcasts. So please, like share and subscribe, spread the word and let's see where we can take Motherwell Daft.

Thanks for your support.
